I worked on this piece many spring mornings at Donkey Coffee here in Athens. Angie had brought in vases overflowing with lilacs, my favorite of the spring flowers, and the shop smelled of their heavenly scent. Hand applique, hand and machine quilting, cotton embroidery thread, shisha mirror embroidery and sequins.
