I had received a Print Gocco for my birthday that year and used it to make this screen of the "death" page from an old encyclopedia. I put it to good use, first on the dress on Ophelia, then on this piece. At ArtFest, I'd learned of Liquid Sculpey transfer onto fabric, and chose a piece from my personal journal to photocopy and transfer onto fabric, using scrapbooking eyelets to apply it to the quilt. The colorful measuring tape came from my foray to Archie McPhee. Silk organza and the rubber stamped word "grow" complete the piece. I'm not sure what it means, the summer of 2002 was very stressful for me and I am sure I was reassuring myself that I would learn something from these experiences.
