Using techniques learned in the Mixed Media Fabric Journal class, create a doll to express your own creativity. Techniques covered will include transfer, spray paint and embellishment, plus sewing and stuffing. Taking the Mixed Media Fabric Journal class isn’t a prerequisite, but it would be nice to be able to make a journal to go with your doll.

Quilted Needle Book (1 day)

Do you find yourself constantly searching for your needles? Are tomato pincushions just not portable enough for you? Learn how to make your own personal needle book in this one day class. Patterns will be provided, and you will receive instruction on how to design your own. These little books make a great carry-along project, and are wonderful gift ideas.

Extreme Beadwork II: Breaking the Surface (1-2 days)

It is not necessary to have taken Extreme Beadwork I to take this class. We we learn a variety of ways of preparing a base to bead, and basic peyote stitch techniques which will take your work from the flat surface to the third dimension and beyond. There is a greater emphasis on personalizing the work, so bring color copies of family photos or other ephemera, and we will also work with transfers and laminates.
