Summer Morning II

Summer Morning II
13 ½ "x 31"
My grandpa had a pair of Adirondack chairs that travelled with him from his home in Michigan to his home here in Ohio. I remember sitting under the long fronds of the weeping willow shucking corn with my Mom-Mom, and sitting on the front porch of his Ohio home with my Grandpa as we ate cherries and spat the seeds off the side of the porch. This piece is a three panel homage to those chairs and the glowing multi-faceted colors of the light on a summer morning. Beads used include Czech glass and bugle beads, India glass, bone, ceramic, and buttons. The piece has been framed by a professional framer and is mounted on velour-finish matte board.
