Photo transfers of images taken from my personal journals formed the start for this piece, which includes Czech glass and seed beads as well as sequins, decorative patches from India and a vintage Czech cicada button. Bright colors and swirling patterns evoke the lively feeling of Bollywood films. The finished embroidery is mounted on a canvas which has been decorated with acrylic paints and print gocco is completed by sequins glued to the surface.
